About Ari Sarkis Alpert

Born in Manhattan, New York, in 1975, Ari Alpert’s early life was shaped by a nomadic childhood spanning New York, London, and Istanbul. He received his formal training in fine arts at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) in Boston, initially working across photography, ceramics, and sculpture before establishing a deeply specialized practice in relief printmaking, etching, lithography, and serigraphy—frequently experimenting with industrial substrates like Komatex and linoleum.
